I never saw the CRX out there...

But anyway, this is kinda how my day went... Finished up putting the car back together, and got it running... Took a shower, then we were off to the track around 5:30... Kept getting random check engine lights on the interstate... Shortly thereafter my brakes go out and I also notice oil pressure is low... Pull into rest stop, bleed brakes, and drain some oil because I realize its over almost a quart... Fixed the oil pressure issue, but the brakes still sucked... So we continue on to the track doing some street tuning... Upload to the romulator, CEL, car shuts off.. wait 20 mins. and get car running again... Start driving again, and about 10 mins later, upload another new rom, CEL, car shuts off... another 20 mins and we are back on the road.... Finally make it to Bradenton, stop at the bank next to Hess, upload new rom, CEL, car shuts off... About 30 mins. later, we give up, disconnect the romulator, put the chip with the basemap back in, and we are off to the track... We finally arrive around 8:30, at which point I decide, its not worth $25 to run my car for an hour and a half, on a basemap, with brakes that only work when they want to... So I became a spectator....

I will be getting all the issues sorted out this week, and I plan on going to the next runday sunday to get some slips....

anyways i figured there would not be any tube chassis crx, or anything crazy like that, i have made a deal with myself for the next trackday, i will definetley be there, i just had to work out some issues with the new job and unfortunately could not leave at this time. so i was kinda pissed that i couldnt be there with yall to race, seeing is the car is actually running well, and better than i expected on a turbo that i really hate!

 

We are suspecting a problem with the romulator.....

Well, if anyone seen me at the track, I was at the staging lane did a nice burn out. got to the line staged and tree came down launched 1st going down was good no problems shift into 2nd all of a sudden it grabbed then just let car just revved up and i had to coast. I got towed off the strip tranny wont go into gear car wont move but nothing is clanking or making sounds. WHat so shitty is that that was my first pass and first time running the car since i got it tunned. but i will return with the gators and lsd if that was what the problem was. Chitwnbrat thanks for getting me that info and ray nice meeting you finaly man.

 

I was the fastest Honda of the night with a 12.5 @ 107 and Matt ran 3 12.9 passes @107 on 22" MT slicks!

I saw that man, i felt pretty bad for you especially since it was your first run. GL with the fix, maybe you can ride out with a bunch of us to a test n tune or somethin and run the beast.

 

Honestly man, I think you said it best, We are both taking the road less traveled and trying to be the best at it. And thats what I'm doing, taking the road more people say no to, but I'm also doing what I love to do so it's very simple to do it. Good luck with the car man, I hope everything comes together for you.
