Default problems with my gs-r vtec swap

okay we swaped the LS for a complete gs-r vtec. The only thing we had them change was, we put in stage 1 skunk two cams in. when it was done we drove home and the vtec was bogging out at 4 rpm. Then after than we changed the vtec solenoid. After that it dose not bog anymore, now the vtec dose not kick in. Now the man who worked on say the motor ran fine before we put the cams in. He thinks it is the cams. I don't want to take them out. IF ANYONE KNOWS WHAT COULD BE THE PROBLEM PLEEEESE LET ME KNOW.
( the car is not throwing any codes we changed the fule pump and the msd )

When I put my stage 1 cams in I had to get it dynoed cause the car ran like ass. Now the car runs great after the tune. Check out XAT in Tampa, they did mine really cheap.

Stage 1 cams like to have the Vtec cross over at 5000 and up depending on compression.( High lift cams like compression) Cam gear tunning will help alot to with the linear power, and of course fuel tunning.
