problems with my gs-r vtec swap
skunk2 stage1 cams are basically CTR's. they shouldn't need too much tunning. your also saying that vtec isn't popping but your NOT throwing codes? when it dosn't pop you will get at least 1 code(21 or 22). at idle try jumping 12v directly to the solenoid, if the car's idle doesn't change you have a mech. problem. if the idle does change you have an electrical problem.
had my b20 vtec teg tuned w/ hondata s200 and it drove fine

its strange cuz i have stage 2 skunk2's and if i am at partial throttle right where vtec is engaging it stuters and i have to mash the gas for it to stop. it only does it at partial throttle. sounds almost like your problem. but i still have vtec.
