Question i just got a 1.6 head and....

so yeah I just got a 1.6 vtec head but how do I know if it really is vtec? The seller says its off a 95 with 60xxx miles on it. The thing is the valve cover isnt fitting on right it seems its hitting the little seals underneath the cover where the spark plugs go, almost as if it isnt lining up right. The back of the cover lines up with the head but then the front is like to short?? The sparkplug tubes are hitting towards the front of the cover not into the holes. Also the cover does not say vtec, only honda. Does a 95 head only say honda or is it supposed to say vtec? Is there anyway I can tell for sure just from looking at the vavles if indeed it is what the seller claims it is? Any help is much appreciated, thanks everyone!

WOW, you bought a single cam head without knowing anything about it.... ok well look at the head where the dizzy bolts on there should be a vtec solenoid that has a green plug with 2 wires and a gray plug with 1 wire. you shoulda researched this before buying.

Well i did do research on the shit on honda-tech and what not and i thought i knew what it looked like, thats why im asking. I got a deal on this thing, the head and intake manifold for only 200 bucks. But it does have the vtec solenoid.....its right where u said but its on like a little bracket shit with like 3 bolts that hold it on. Then on top of that it has like transister looking thing, like something out of radio. With a little green cirlce connector with 2 pins. There is also a very small wire that looks black and white with the same kinda pins.

i mean i knew about the solenoid and shit but i was confuzzeled when i saw the vavle cover and it didnt say vtec on it. and why isnt the vavle cover fitting?
