Angry Prob with oil pressure gauge

ok me and hondatyper wired up my gauges last night the oil psi gauge is giving us one hell of a time we wired it up and it doesnt do anything for about 5-10 minutes then it slowy crawled up to 75 psi at idle, i thought this is a lil high for a bone stock h22a... so we replaced the oil sending unit and the oil psi gauge which we have no reason to believe isnt good. double checked the wires everything checked out ok. started the motor and it still really slowy crawled up to 75 psi and sat there didnt move with engine revs, doesnt move when driving the car. the car drives perfect oil level is good vtec still comes online everything works except my oil gauge. might sound like a minor problems but id really appreciate any help
Dave

did it stay at 75psi even after letting it warm up for about 5-10 minutes? Also did you look up the factory oil pressure range? Mine for the GSR is from 10-75 psi i believe. It's in the haynes manual.

my bet is the gauge is messed up. electric autometer gauges break VERY easily.

you think you're funny dont ya

It did the same thing with 2 gauges and 2 sending units. The motor was in another car with the same gauge hooked up and it worked fine. We did the swap to the new car and then wired the gauges and the oil pressure gauge is being teh ghey. It goes to 75 psi and DOES NOT MOVE from there. Doesnt matter if you rev it or just let it idle.
