well thanks for all the positive feed back.. im not looking for an 11 second car by anymeans just something quick and different.. I never thought about the srt4 route... any idea how much those motors go for.. i know the sr's are pretty cheap...
im still talking to people about mounts and axles... then have to find a buyer for the R but its still a viable choice for me right now

I am just overjoyed with all you SRT owners, I gotta tell ya. Already, this infantile engine that was just released less then 2 years ago, has proven to be waaay more viable and distinguished then one of the most saught after, venerable 4cyl engines ever produced by man.

We all know with the stringent quality control and "best in the industry" tolerances that Dodge is infamous for, speaks volumes for your case too.

The best engine in the world is the vagina, it takes any size piston, its self lubricating, starts with 1 finger, and every 4 weeks does its own oil change. It's just a pity the management system is so fucking temperamental.

GTI-R's have hit 10's my friend. Theres a video of a Thai GTI-R throwing down a 10sec pass somewhere on the net.
I'm sorry but bulletproof, closed deck, Iron block, factory turbocharged, AWD VS a open deck NA honda engine? Nissan please.
Besides, everyone has been too busy watching TF&TF and tripping over the Honda bandwagon to realize the potential of Nissans offerings in the 90's. There was no aftermarket support showing up in the states, nor any coverage in any of the mainstream "import" magazines. Only over the past few years has the US began to see the deal. and now, with everyone jumping on the 240 bandwagon and all its pretty apparent.

If you want to be n/a i would say go with an sr20ve or sr16ve. Those motors put out more wheel horsepower stock than any other b series honda motor. Don't beleive me, go dyno a type-R motor and a h22a, and then dyno a sr20ve/sr16ve, and the sr will come out on top.
Don't go with a gti-r if you want daily drivability. go with a bluebird sr2odet(fwd).
