if your vin number doesn't match the vehicle that the raido is in that you are trying to get the code for they will not give it to you. It really all depends on the person you take it to. And nick again, no two codes are alike. Most dealerships do charge a fee. Really don't care to arrue with you. But its like you make stuff up to make it sound legit.

yeah, the code is free......$75 is to take the radio out. just take it out yourself and get the serial # off the bottom, its not hard.

 

True a tech isn't going to pull your radio and get the serial # for free. It can be free if they have it on file ,they file you ROs by year and vin#.

this is how i found my boys sit in the drivers seat open glove box look at the side of the glove box and he had a sticker with the code right there try that

i have the same problem but different. i don't have the factory radio for the car so i can't get the serial number off the factory radio to get the code. i have the radio out of my other integra so i put that in there and tried that code and it doesn't work. i called acura and he said that you have to have the serial number off the original radio from the car. so i want to know if im fucked or is there something i can do.
