Default Where to buy Turbo Kit??

I already did a search so no flamming please. I was wondering what place has decent prices for turbo kits. Doesn't matter if it's local or online. Also I have read some threads and it seems as if people on this board work with Hondata the most. I am probably going to end up having my car tuned by someone on this site here, so i would like to buy some engine managment that's familiar to most. It's going to be at the most 7 more months until the my project is done but i'm trying to ask ahead and avoid costly mistakes down the road. Thanks.

The best engine in the world is the vagina, it takes any size piston, its self lubricating, starts with 1 finger, and every 4 weeks does its own oil change. It's just a pity the management system is so fucking temperamental.

It all depends on how much you want to spend.
full-race.com sells some really nice kits
or you could piece one together

What ever you do, make sure you do not buy a drag kit or revhard kit etc. In the end you will be happier with a kit you put together or a better quality setup such as full-race.

Obviously you have been researching the topic a little if you mentioned hondata.
Hondata works, but crome and uberdata work just as well for a fraction of the cost.

Feel free to ask any questions concerning any components which you may want an opinion on. For future reference, it maybe a good idea to let us know what kind of motor this "kit" is going to be on & what whp goals you have etc.

Thanks for the replies.

The turbo kit will be going on a B16. My budget is around 6500-7000 for the whole setup including parts for the shortblock, and engine management. I havent started the build as of yet because i am waiting for my uncle's shop to be completed. Right now the motor and tranny are sitting in his shed. As planned right now im going to assemble the motor and all the turbo components before i get a shell. Ill probably be buying the parts for the block from Chavez or InsaneCivicSedan and then the blurbo components online. With finally buying an eg shell in which my uncle will be spraying and then dropping the completed motor in. After that it's off to be street tuned by someone other than me .

The first thing you should ask your self is...

Then go from there

I would be happy with anything between 300+. It's just going to be a weekend car, something to have fun with and if it pops. Oh well, i have my GTI with a warranty. Thank god for that though. Only 17k miles on the car and it's already had all the syncros replaced (only second gear syncro was defective but they replace all while they had it apart) less than 3k miles ago and now i have a small tranny leak which im not even bothering to look at since it's going in on tuesday. It's all stock and while i do get on it every once in a while it's not even a 1/10 of what my civic endured, and held up with no problems until 125k i might add.
