ok well i just put back together my friend motor in his car with no cams i turned it over to make sure compression in all chaambers all good,then put the cams back on well shit turn it to topdead then start turning the cam it will not turn,im woundering how the hell this can be its a b18b bottomend and b18b head with stock cams,well im woundering over and over THE intake valves are hitting the pistons im like how can this be on stock parts.then go and get his paperwork((from napa""not on florida""))THE HEAD HAS BEEN MILLED .052 half a damn millometer so i start loosening all the rockers all the way to the top now it turns with ease..? is how much play is to much with the ls rocker arms movement wise??????

 

Definitely check the valve adjustment anytime the cams are removed from the head.

Did the head also get a valve job? Maybe the machine shop sunk the valves too deep in the head and the rockers are binding. With the amount that this head has been milled I'd also advise clay checking the clearances.

 

yes the valve where reseatted i will take some pictures if it will help,i just adjust them the best i could i am getting comepression but just lil worried starting it yet

 

I've had an ls head where a couple of the valves were seated so high that the rocker arms were binding.

 

will i undid all and and set 1-4 then 2-3 so now the valve is not hitting the piston so i got to finish up on the intake bolt and give it a start
