92 civc cx 1.5d non-vtec...........car is is dumping water/coolant in overflow tank. I replaced the thermostat and temp switch and this is still occuring. When i start the car it runs real rough, blows white/blue smoke like a mother and then goes away. I think i have a blown head gasket, but i am not sure, Any suggestions? Also the water in overflow tank is nasty.

 

sounds like a blown headgasket. had the same problem for a couple of weeks utill I changed the HG.

 

definitely a head gasket... anyone wanna bet me $20???

why a new motor??? Just change the head gasket....

 

i know i can do the head gasket but its time to go b-series

 

junk in ur overflow tank/radiator could also be pieces of ur waterpump and/or radiator cap seal What does the junk look like?
