Default Which ignition on 425+whp SOHC Vtec Turbo?

The goal is to have at least 450whp but we will see what happens when its on the dyno. Now my question is what ignition setup do you guys recommend? I've heard msd 6 plus, 6AL, SCI, etc. How about the external coil? Blaster 3 coil or something bigger or different?
LMK what you guys think.

I would run a 7al over the 6 because its better. If you really want a nice ignition they make the 7al in digital but it's twice the price.I run the HVC2 coil by MSD and it's one of the best coils that you can still use on the street.

I have used MSD 6al, it kind of improved revving, but i think that the stock ignition is the best for hondas.

Stock. I made 600 with a stock honda ignition setup and there are tons of other people out there as well who are making 500 + with stock honda ignition setup.

I'm going to have to agree with Gotin on this. Erik Aguilar's 9 second all motor monster utilizes the Honda factory ignition and revs to 10,000 RPMs. Maybe PM Trip about his 300+ horse turbo SOHC VTEC and ask about ignition. Maybe he can lend you some insight.

OEM gets my vote. Not knocking the aftermarket ignitions, they have some perks But, IMO, they are a luxury item and the money could be better spent elsewhere. And with an SOHC, you just want to get to the point because most likely the build is budget oriented. Probably always a good idea to keep up with a good working distibutor and well kept plugs. Depending on the milage of your motor, new OEM wires might do some good. I need to take my own advice

The only reason I went aftermarket was to have the use of a 2 step rev limiter that I can change at my own free will

OEM is sufficient. Don't see why it would be needed to be replaced with a aftermarket setup.

Most people have issues with their stock ignition when its old and worn out. As 60-1ek stated, stock ignition is awesome and works perfectly with 500-600whp.
