Thanks for the swift responses guys...
The vehicle in question is a 91 civic dx. I purchased it as a shell and all wiring was intact, and had 125k on the clock. I usually here people say stock ignition on their newer vehicles. For example Trip, and probably 60-1Ek as well as the rest of you. The motor is fully rebuilt, and capable of handling upwards of 20psi. This is a SOHC Vtec. Im just trying to see if I will need the added spark or not. Of course I want the cost effective route, but I want to have what I need to get the most out of my setup. I hope that is understandable. I found a guy selling a MSD SCI for 125, for just the box but I would still need a coil, wires, and a cap. Or maybe I could just use a blaster 2 or 3 coil with a msd cap? any further insight?

STOCK. Get some stock NGK wires, some 7 series plugs and a new cap/rotor.

I agree with these guys...but if you really want the aftermarket ignition for the st00pid cheap, I'll sell you the MSD shit off my car for $50. I don't know what it is or what it does, but it clutters up my engine bay and I don't want it

The best engine in the world is the vagina, it takes any size piston, its self lubricating, starts with 1 finger, and every 4 weeks does its own oil change. It's just a pity the management system is so fucking temperamental.

+100000000

and for a 2 step rev limiter, if your wanting it for drag so that you have a launch rev limit and then the top end limit............HONDATA......... and you can change it at the push of a button, or key stroke if you hook it up to a laptop. hondata also has the full throttle shift, I haven't used it myself but hell it's hondata, you can't go wrong. I am not sure if it's ignition cut is fuel or spark but 60-1EK probably could.

I had the blaster coil on mine and when I'd drive around 5krpms for more than a mile it would start to hesitate unless I went to 6k or 4k and the only way to make it stop was to drive for a while at a different rpm, I know big deal.....but in 5th gear on the hwy 5k put me at 70-78mph so slower sucks and faster is a ticket. I took of the blaster ss coil and went back to a stock ignition, it's been a year and no problems. I am currently working on a build for my b16 to run 20-30 psi and the only thing I will do to the coil is replace it (100k miles approx) with a brand new OEM coil.
