Question D15b2?

i just put one in my g/f's car but am not really sure what year and model civic or del sol it came from,i was told it was it was a direct replacement for my old d15b7 and it works now but its running wierd i think the timing is retarded, but i need to find out what car that motor came out of.thanks-keith.

I believe they came out of 88-91 dx models. I.E. crx, wagovan, sedan.

well i got i running fine now but that motor seems to have more power or something then the old d15b7.but what year parts can fit that motor?92-95?mine is a 95. im looking to get headers for now i already have an exaust and intake and in a couple weeks or sooner i want to put the vtec heads on it and then turbo.thanks

ok the d15b2 is from a 88-91 dx/lx has 92 hp and 89 torque
the d15b7 is from a 92-95 dx/lx and has 102 hp and 98 torque

so that motor i have is an 88-91 dx, lx motor?it hooked right up to my 95' d15b7 harness w/out any probs. so when im looking for parts i have to use "88-91"parts or will other year (newer) parts fit.thanks fot all the helpfull info.thanks-keith
