D16z6 into a D15b2 89' HB problems
We've swapped the motors and the Z6 is sleeping in the car right now, but it won't start for some unknown reason.
We've checked all the grounds ( fuel pump rely, tranny/battery, and valve cover ).
We are using an Si PM6 ECU, pm6 harness, dizzy, injectors, resistor box, and intake.
I have a V-AFC to control the V-tec part.
I swapped the Z6 fuel rail ( and FPR ) on to the Si intake.
Anyway, I was looking for some pointers as to why it won't start. I've put two days into swapping it and it just won't start for some reason.
The motor was running when pulled from its donor car, so its nothing "motor" related.

Is the d15b2 the dx engine? If so you cant just swap the si harness in, won't work. You'd need to use the dx harness and convert to mpfi.
If the d15b2 is the hf then it is ok to use the si harness.

Well why would it not work see my friend had a dx we made it a Si harness, ecu, intakemanafold, and Distributor and all,and its ran like a mother, and on friday he got a ex motor and we put it in and we are useing the Si intake, and dizzy,ecu....so why wont it work what makes it not wont to start?
You can't just throw an si harness into a dx car. The dx interior wiring harness will not support the si engine harness. You need to convert a dx engine harness to mpfi.

sounds like you might have a timing issue as well, i still think you have to convert the dx harness to an si, and the same with a sohc, or dohc vtec motor, unless you buy a repinned harness, i think, i may not be sure, but i think there are 2 white wires in the dizzy clip, that you have to swap positions, i think the way it is, it is firing 180 degrees off, this happened on my dx zc swap.
