I worked on a f22 once, I rebuilt it, but when I tried to start it, it wouldn't fire up, so, I pulled the car with my SUV around the block in 2nd gear with the ignition on and giving it a little gas, after a couple laps the engine started. My point is that when you don't start the car for a while it takes a lot to start it. If you don't want to do this, then just keep cranking it up until it starts, you will drain 3 or 4 batteries. If you did everything right, then I recommend you use the pulling technique. I've gone through the same problem 3 times, and pulling the car worked, so you know that I'm not making this up.

Some cars start right up, but other cars have problems with the engine sensors, which may have some type of rust no them that prevents them from working properly.
