Draining the Block

Question Draining the Block

does anybody know how i can drain out the antifreeze in my block...its a f22b engine and i gotta figure out a way to drain it out...thanks!

yeah pull the plug on the bottom of the radiator............... and let it all pour out!


there is a plug which looks like a uhge bolt on the back of the block, take that out if you have to but i dont recommend it.

why you trying to drain all the fluid out with the block int he car ????

i was changing out my head gasket and got stuff all in the antifreeze

the lowest place on the block to drain the block is above the the deck just fill it up and run it for a few then drain it again or leave the hoses off and run it with a water hose in the upper hose and the lower running out on the ground

Definately just run a hose. Take out the thermo and just let it run a while. That's how it's done. Or, if you got $$, take it to a place that can do a pressure flush on the entire system, radiator included. Should only be around $40.
