Long block is the Head and Block only......no axles, ecu, and in some cases no intake manifold, injectors, fuel rail ect..
But usually Head and block, harness is optional.

Some companies also do not supply valve cover, or oil pan. Such as Autozone. You can purchase new motors through them, but they do not come with the above items. They come with only the bare block and head with all internals, and nothing external.
