Hitting rev limiter at 3500...
got a 93 b18a1 LS in my 91 DX hatch, i redid the whole car from headlights to taillights with a 91 Si harness, anyways, the car has been running great since the swap, and just recently it started to do it every now and then when its cold, but today, it warmed up to 180 degrees on the water temp guage, and its still jst bouncing off the rev limiter right exactly on 3500.. what all possibilities could this be, the damn car sounds like a rotary when i hit 3500, this is def. getting old fast.. any suggestions? thanks in advance!

did you change the tach fluid? cuz that will make the ecu act retarded
and give it a false reading. so the ecu thinks you're at redline and you're really not.
I really have no idea

No, but i just went outside and pulled all of my plugs to see if any were fouled out, none were.. I do have a missing valve cover gromet in #4 so that one was filled with oil, so i get a turkey baster and suck it all out, took that plug out and let the rest of the oil drain down, put all the plugs back in and the wires back on, cranked it up and drove it down the street, making a few slow 7k pulls and then one 8k pull and it ran perfect all the way.
wtf is goin on, but i am getting a CEL, and throwing a code 43, all the info i have on that code is "fuel system" anymore thoughts?Edit: 4300th post!

sounds like a wiring problem somewhere in the fuel system... that will cause the ecu to go into limp mode as a safety feature to preven lean conditions...

Oil is fine, timing is good, wiring MIGHT be the problem but i highly doubt it, i have no clue.. could one of my fuel injectors not be opening up, have a clogged fuel filter, or something like that? it isnt doing it anymore but i still dont like the fact that it DID it so im still gonna try and get to the bottom of this..
