Default TEASER Pics, Homemade ITB's

I just got back from my welder's shop. Props are due to Marc at Garland Race Shop in Port Richey. I only had rubber 3 tubes available so please pardon the incompleteness of it. These are NOT the final hoses that will be used, they are my first shot at cutting them from a few months ago. The final product will look cleaner and neater. This will go on my stock B18C-R motor that recently put down 178whp. The motor will stay stock until I get my cams.
I will not go into my expectations, this thread is just for pics. At least right now.
So, without any further ado, here we go.

Hmmm, what happened to the rest of the intake manifold??

Final product, sandblasted clean.

Side shot

A 20 ton press comes in handy !!

Look at those runners, can you see the weld line ??

Looking through 50mm of fury, Gixxer 1000 style !!

Open wide !!!

Trial setup

Final shot

you did it wrong.... the injector holes on the gixxer manifold get jb welded close and you use the stock fuel rail etc for the manifold or the holes closest to the head.....
http://www.homemadeturbo.com/tech_pr...itb/index.html this better explains the build up..... good luck and ncie job...

There is no "wrong" way to do it. I have found out that the GSXR injectors will flow enough fuel for my needs, and having them in the positions that they are now in will allow better atomization of the incoming fuel and air.

That website you listed, I have seen it and used the info. Many choose to go that route, but it is NOT the only way to do it. I chose this way after A LOT of research, on Honda-Tech and the rest of the internet.

Thanks for all the compliments guys !!!

Very nice. It's going to sound mean as hell when VTEC kicks in. It was well thought out and built properly. Props to you
Mike

Marc took measurements to ensure that there was plenty of room. It will be no taller than a stock ITR IM.
