Haha.....I seriously doubt that anyone from TR is running this crank pulley besides me and maybe one other. I think it is a great setup. No problems here. Just remember to cut the lower timing belt cover like it says in the instructions. Check out H-T for more people using it.

I know you two run the Fluidampr I was still thinking about buying one when I ran into Ron a couple weekends ago. He was talking to me about it and I said fsck it. Might as well do it now. Glad to hear you guys are having no problems with it. It's still new to the import world so who knows what kind of problems if any it will bring. I would post a picture for everyone but my camera is at InsaneCivicSedan's house I would recommend a Fluidampr to anyone and everyone building a mild to high HP Honda.

"The inertia ring inside Fluidampr shears through a thin film of highly viscous silicone fluid to effectively control harmonic vibration at all engine speeds. But what is silicone fluid really like? Well, fluid is somewhat of a misnomer because it is really more like a gel. The silicone fluid used in Fluidampr is clear in color and is more than 45,000 times thicker (more viscous) than 30 weight motor oil.

Silicone fluid is a very good damping medium because it is relatively unaffected by temperature changes. Thus, it provides consistent damping in both winter and summer. The fluid does not harden or change viscosity if Fluidampr is not used for a period of time. The fluid is so durable that big rig, 18 wheeler truck engines are mostly all equipped with viscous fluid-type dampers.

Silicone fluid's damping capability is unmatched. That's why the fluid inside Fluidampr is guaranteed for as long as you own it."

"Crankshaft Deflection - The Invisible Enemy
Each time the air/fuel mixture inside a cylinder is ignited, the combustion that results creates a torque spike - an extremely rapid rise in cylinder pressure. This pressure, applied to the top of the piston, becomes the force that is applied to the crankshaft through the connecting rod. Each torque spike is like a hammer blow. In fact, it hits with sufficient intensity that it not only causes the crankshaft to turn, it actually deflects or twists it. This twisting action and the resulting rebound (as the crank arm snaps back in the opposite direction) is known as torsional harmonic vibration. If not adequately controlled, torsional vibration causes rapid main bearing and main journal wear and possible crankshaft breakage."

"Keeping Vibration in Check
Fortunately, harmonic vibration can be controlled by a vibration damper - which is also called a harmonic damper or erroneously a "harmonic balancer". The main purpose of a "harmonic damper" is to control harmonic vibration, not necessarily to balance the engine's rotating assembly."

How well would one of these work on a SC'd car? Since they are larger would a larger belt be needed or is it enough to tension out?

Lol, what's sucks is the retail price for the honda fluidampr's is like 3X higher than anything else. Just isn't cost efficient for the oneglecam setup.
