the way my cluster is wired-

power-12v power
ground-shock tower
signal....run directly to the wire coming out of the cluster for vss...try that and see what happens

try pulling the cluster appart and ptting the jdm tach and speedo in the usdm cluster. the only downfall is that you will have to "break" the seal of the plastic in front.

the size of the jdm tach and speedo doesnt match the usdm ones.

Ive already tried that. when I rub the signal wire together the speedo jumpes but doesnt go back down to zero. and when I start the car it doesnt do anything. Could it be the vss? how would I check to see if its bad? thanks

try to get a hold of a service manual for a newer integra or civic...maybe the vss is the same or similar...the service manual may have a procedure for testing the ohms/voltage/reading...whatever the hell you call the signal...either that or try to get another vss to use as a test dummy....btw, where are you located? ill pm you if i can find anything tomorrow

My electronic Vss wiring, 2 wires are into the gauge cluster, power, and signal, my vss wouldnt work without both the wires being in the cluster, so even if I hooked the one up to the signal on the cluster and the other one just to power, nothing, mike come down here one day and come take a look at mine. -Ben
