Default Internals question on a d16y7/y8 build

In the process of getting my block built and put together. Now my concern is that Im using a d16y7 block with a y8 head. Im going with a stock 75mm bore piston. If I buy a y8 piston it will put the piston in an extra .25 thousandths in the hole, decreasing the C/R from say a 9:1 to 8:3 or 8:5.1 and losing quench. I'm definently going to go with forged piston, if that isn't obvious already. Im thinking about CP customs. Does this sound about right? I'm just going off of what I know, and my understandings on the concepts.

I'm boosting this motor and it pretty much has everything, and Im down to figuring out this situation with the internals. I will boost 22-25psi on an sc61.
Im open to any insight based on Technical experience/knowledge. Cronic chime in at anytime.
Let me know if you need any other info about my setup to get a better understanding.

Cronic has the head been milled already? If not im considering milling it. I will weigh my opportunity costs. It could save on the costs now but if for some freak of nature the head gets warped then milling it again won't be an option.

with the y7 block and y8 head with y8 pistons, your estimated CR will be 10.2.

well im going with forged pistons with a 9:1 c/r on the piston. i guess i eventually answered my own question. I have to get some customs or mill the head. Im just waiting to hear from cronic to see if the head has been milled previously.
