Default Tire question!

I was wondering how well a 225-50-15 would fit on a 15x6 wheel. Would the tire be too wide for the rim? Just wanted to ask cause I didnt wanna spend money and find out when it gets here. I think it'll work but I wanted opinions. Also my choices are a 205-50-15 or a 225-50-15....LMK what you think.

Kris, how low is the drop?? I think that a 215 is barely usable on a OEM width (6.5in I think) rim.

the drop? My car is 100% ALL OEM suspension man, do you really think I have the cash to put suspension on the car. I have 8.7" wide slicks, but I never checked the clearence.....I'll have to do that tonight. BTW they are Mugen MR5 Rims and the tires are for the front only.

I have a 15x7 rim and im running 235/60/15. The only problem i incounter is rubbing during turns. My also rubbed a little bit with 225/50/15. I'm almost positive those tires will fit on those rims. You would be better off with a bigger rim but you can make that work. Also i wouldnt get the new style BFG drag radials. they suck. I would see if Mickey thompson makes the new ones in your size or try to see if BFG makes it in the rearwheel drive style.

I was going to go with these, what do you think? Also what is the new design? Can you point me in the direction I need to go?

Thanks,
Kris

I know for a fact that they will fit. I am running those on my stock ITR wheels right. Slight rub on full turns but that is it.

This tire only has an R rating meaning it is rated UP TO 106mph....WTF, a drag radial only good to 106? What do they think I'm driving? A domestic?

Oh come on, do you really think that you'll be going even close to that at the end of the 1/4?? It's a drag radial that they made just for you Kris.
