think i found the clutch problem

Default think i found the clutch problem

my clutch went out and i think i may have found the problem, but i have no idea what this thing is, or if it can go bad. i may just need to put some teflon tape on the fittings to give it a better seal. this pic is located on the passenger side wall of the bay.

so, what is this thing?
and, can it go bad?

more detail in the second pic, the threads look pretty good.

nope, the slave cylinder is mounted on the tranny. i replaced the slave cylinder yesterday because thats what we thought the problem was.

Accord and Prelude have them. You can run an ss line from master to slave any bypass it, thats what I did. Much better pedal feel IMO.

i agree, the slave cylinder needed it, better to replace it now than later on down the road anyway.
