Default wiring

I am trading shells with a friend and putting a gsr out of his teg in my hatch, and he wants to use his harness out of the teg. will the obd2a harness from the teg plug into the all the stuff on the hatch and will the hatches harness work on the teg?
thanks, frankie

Integra harnesses & 96-00 civic harnesses do not interchange.

You will need to wire iab into the civic's harness.
To make life easy you will want a conversion harness & chipped ecu for each vehicle

i figured the harnesses weren't interchangable but this kid is being so anal bout the iab he says his car wont run right without them. also mtber you wired up the car, B16B black hatch, so did you repin the connectors to work with the obd2b ctr ecu??

I dont remember what ecu we used on your car.
All we did was wire vtec into the harness & redue the 3 wire iacv plug to a 2 plug iacv plug.

Corey Schoeb actually did the wiring on that specific vehicle while Jeff & I installed the axles/suspension/mounts/exhaust etc. I have wired plenty of eks & integras.

The hatch you have is an obd2a setup.
What year is the integra ?

If it is a 96-98 integra it will be obd2a.

So if the integra is obd2a, the harness on the integra will work fine with the obd2a ctr computer & ctr motor.

Concerning the GSR motor into the ek hatch, if you plan on retaining the GSR intake manifold, you will need to wire IAB, which is not hard to do. Besides that as long as its an obd2a (96-9 ecu, it will plug right into your 97 civic dx.

Personally I would eventually get conversion harnesses for both vehicles & run chipped dohc obd1 computers.
Pm me if you guys need/want one

ok, we thought you repinned the whole harness, so the setup on the ek as of now, is ob2-a, and since the gsr is a 96. it will drop in working fine, minus the iab needing to be wired.

i hope

Vtec was added to the harness & iacv was repined... nothing major.

You will need to add IAB to the civic harness, or you can buy a skunk2 intake manifold while your at it & drop in a chipped ecu that does not used IAB for better performance...
