Default Can this be fixed???

Got some rods out of a motor that spun a rod bearing, and wanted to know if any good machine shop (Engine Lab) could fix this???? I was told yes by some folks on Honda Tech, but I want to be sure before I spend the cash.....

This is how it looks...

And this is how it SHOULD look....

Post up if you know... Thanks!!!!

I would suggest purchasing a new rod to be safe.

You could have it bored and then resized. Just make sure you plasti gauge after and check the clearances.

How much would it be to just buy one rod??? Im getting a killer deal on these, and Ive been told by a few sources that a good machine shop can fix it, but if its gonna cost me more I might end up just getting the rods new... Im getting these for 175 and they only had 500 miles when it spun the bearing, so I figure if I pay 50 bucks or so to fix it, ill still be comin out on top........

have it resized which basically means honed to perfect round. For one rod it should only cost 10-20. Then have it mic'd to see if it is in range with the other rods or within a range so a Honda bearing would fit. If it doesn't work you are only out $20 or so.
