i would say it can be done safely but would you still be in bearing specs is the only real concern, i dont see it affecting the durabilty or strength of the rods load bearing properties but making sure you could spec out the clearance would be the best.........i guess just see how much they would have to take off, add it to the current bearing size and find out which color bearing is THAT size

its not the rod that is damaged... what you all see is pieces of bearing that stuck to the rod... Thats why I believe this would be possible, and actually pretty easy... almost seems like it could be honed and then polished back to spec....

seriously what bout mix matching that crower that dave has and use the other three rods just get it all balanced and it should be fine. right?

since they are different rods it would be extremely hard and pointless to have them all balanced to eachother. youd probably have to remove quite a bit of material from both ends of the crower which could possibly weaken it or alter its design beyond reliability. u can order one eagle rod for about $100-120 so i would just do that

oh i didnt think you could buy just one rod from eagle, i figured he would have to find someone selling just one or two eagle rods

is the crank damaged any? Dump that rod and get a new one.
