Wasn't that the cables you forgot to unhook when we pulled the motor out of the half-cut. We had to cut them with a damn handsaw. Unless that was just the shift cables.

Tranny is hydro. Do you have fluid on the floor near your clutch pedal? See any leaks around the clutch master cylinder? Follow the line to the slave cylinder .. spot any leaks? I ended up purchasing a stainless line to run directly from my master to my slave. Give you a much stiffer pedal feel, thats for sure. Anyways.. how many miles on master/slave? One of the other may need to be replaced..

that was just the shift cables that connect to the shifter, not the clutch pedal.

the fluid is fine, no leaks, the clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder were purchased new from honda in april. i've put about 6k on the car since the swap.

kieth came and looked at it last night and determined it was the slave cylinder. even though the fluid resavor is full, it still had some fluid around the out side of the slave cylinder and it was making a screaching sound everytime i pushed in the clutch. and when the car was running, it sounded like a low whistle. and the clutch pedal definately has less pressure when the car is running.

put in the new slave last night, bleed the sytem for ALONG time, and still no pressure in the clutch. called tony(0HP930), he came and looked and agreed there was no air in the lines. he concluded that the spring in the master cylinder is bad. now, when i push down on the clutch it stays down, and if i lift the pedal up a little bit the spring on the pedal will pull it the rest of the way up. luckily i have an extra master cylinder, so thats going on tonight.

the master cylinder isnt leaking, and if the spring inside the master cylinder was bad, wouldnt it still eventually make pressure?
