Powder coat or spray paint??cheaper/better?
if you strip the wheels down and use the duplicolor wheel paint and take your time and do it right you will have no problems.
i had a set of hx wheels i stripped down and used the wheel paint to paint the inner portion and left a polished lip and it turned out really good and lasted a while. i got rid of the car with the wheels on it so im not sure how long it actually has lasted.

back in the day, I was quoted 80-100 per rim to power coat depending on what I wanted. This was through a local shop. You can spray paint them and they'll come out just as good. Just take your time, tape it off, sand it down and do it right.
