Default I cant get my rims to stick to my tires.

Sounds funny but i have been driving back and forth across the "Track" trying to get my car to run well. i have been having problems with my ignition causeing my car to break up at high rpms. Well last night i got it running fairly well again. So i deciced to test it on my high boost(21lbs) Well i have to be in 3rd gear to do this. So i drop it into 3rd and as it start to pull real hard i feel the tires breaking traction. Then 4th i get this bad vibration that i have never felt. Come to find out my rims are spinning faster then the tires. I marked the rim and tire and the marks dont line up anymore. I had 25lbs of air pressure in them. They say to drop them to 15-20 at the track. My only option is to put screws in my rims. Thats not going to happen. Well it looks like this car is becoming more of a track car then street car. I will be taking it to the track very soon. I'm just scared that i'm going to break an axel.

I dont want to put screws through a set of Racing Harts that they dont even make anymore. I'm running driveshaft.com stage 2's(300hp). I need stage 7's(1,000hp) This way i will never have to worry about breaking one. My fear is breaking an axel in 3rd or 4th gear. If this happens i'm in alot of trouble. Besides i paid $500 for those axels and i would prefer to replace them before they break. All the parts i need for my car are so expensive. I need Slicks, Axels and Wheeliebars for now. When i originally built the car i didnt plan on going more then 300whp. So i have replaced everything i have bought in the past. My goal is to run 9's. Unfortunalty it will take another year to save the money i need to make that happen.

So racing harts to cruise around on with DR's and Slicks for the track and then another set of wheels with screws. I dont think so. i will have to race with under 400whp on the street and 500+ at the track on slicks. I'm finding out everyday why you cant drive a fwd car with alot of power on the street. When i hit high boost the car starts drifting all over the road. It's scarey to drive. I can impress everyone with a burnout through 3rd gear on lower boost or i can drive all over the road on high boost and almost crash. I used to call one of my friends a pussy because he would always let out at the track because the car was wild. now i know why. He has a CRX with 550whp and he goes 10.30's without even staying in it.:o

Why do you need wheelie bars? I know cars that run 9s w/o wheelie bars. What is the width on those rims? I wouldn't worry about snapping an axle in 3rd or 4th gear. If they are going to break, it's going to happen in 1st or the second gear transition.

You haven't bought slicks yet? Finish the cage yet? Make it to the track yet?

Wheelie bars keep the front tires planted. Without them you get weight transfer to the rear taking weight off of the front. Plus it helps the car go straight. I'm telling you with that kind of strain you can break an axel in 3rd or 4th. If that happens the car goes straight in to the wall most of the time. plus would you want to break a set of axels that cost $500? They clearly are not meant for that kind of power. Well i cant afford axels right now so i'm going to the track anyways. I sold my old slicks because they were only 22x8. I got a 10 point chromoly cage that race related is supposed to weld in this week. that is if he has the cars already done he is working on. I'm calling him Monday to see if he is ready for me.
