1) Have you ever worked on a Prelude engine? It's friggin' horrible. Cylinder sleeves come quickly to mind.
2) Space. You're going to have a ball when the time comes to do some routine maintenance on the car w/ that fat pig in the bay.
3) AC. It's possible to hook it up but again, it's not fun or espeically easy.
4) Heavy. 'nuff said.
5) Why go to all the trouble for some extra torque when the B-series offers drop-in simplicity, can be worked on in the bay without the need for hands the size of a baby's, and has plenty of aftermarket support to bring it to whatever level you'd like.

Bleh.
Same cylinder sleeves found in the S2K and NSX motors. I've owned an H-series motors since 1999 and I have never had problems with them.
There is plenty of room in the chassis to do a timing belt/water pump replacment. Transmission can be removed witht he motor in the car.
AC is the easiest part of the swap. HCP includes a bracket with their mount kit. You use the D-series compressor, all the lines bolt up.
Heavy? There is a thread on HT where someone goes through and weighs a D-series, B-series and H-series. H was less than 100lbs more than a B16. The power to weight ratio is work it imo.
Number 5 is self explanatory

The best engine in the world is the vagina, it takes any size piston, its self lubricating, starts with 1 finger, and every 4 weeks does its own oil change. It's just a pity the management system is so fucking temperamental.

Biggest PIA is the wiring, everything else is easy. You can have your D-series out and the H22 in the chassis within a day. I had Neal do my harness, did a great job. If the car isn't your DD. Pull your D-series, have someone reputable like Neal convert your harness to work with the H22 and then make a weekend project out of the swap. Don't skimp out and do shit half assed. Spend the extra money and get quality axles, a "real" radiator, etc.. Once you have everything throw it in and enjoy

Save your time, save the headaches, save some money, and just turbo your D16.

No, why would you want to spend more money to be slower?

I agree that the H Series is an intriguing engine. I like the engine much better than the B Series because of the displacement. I just think that a D series turbo setup would be much less of a hassle and just as fast, with the capability of being much faster with more boost. 150-160whp is not that much.

why turbo a d series when you can turbo an H series ..

I was halfway done with a sohc buildup but decided to sell it all and go H22. honestly , if i were to build another sol to have fun with it would be a sohc turbo . they are underestimated . but thats only when this sol has to much power to drive daily. which isnt too far off.

wiring is not bad at all , i found it to be quite fun actually, but thats just me.

good luck . if you want to check out my swap send me a pm and I can let you check it out if i find a spare hour.
