Default Transmission and Warranty Question.

ok what do you guys think

there is a tech service bulletin for 02-03 acura RSXs for teh synchros as well as for teh cable of some sort

ok so im having that problem

ok now yes im Boosted but that is not why that is happening, its obviously from factory since there is a tech serv bull even for non boosted RSXs

i mean how could they prove to me that the turbo caused an already existing problem to occur?

isnt there a warranty law that says they have to prove to you that it was caused by that aftermarket part?

how could they since it happens even on non boosted ones?

discuss

that says that if they deny your warranty they have to technically write up how the aftermarket part CAUSED the problem. they cant just say that your warranty is void JUST because you have an aftermarket part.

so i mean if its happening on cars that arent boosted or modified and there is actually a tech service bulletin out...how can they tell me that the turbo caused the issue in this case?

you could call around the acura dealerships and just ask (you dont have to go into specifics with them about your setup just a you were wondering kinda question)

i think it will be easyfor them to say that your turbo setup has put added strain on the transmission the factory didnt design it for. there district service mananger will get involved and either give in or will call you on the fact you wont take it to court. honda has very good lawyers.

well the thing is that they already replaced the synchros once when i was stock

and when the clutch was installed the mechanic noticed there was an actual piece missing from the tranny and told me it would prob cause issues in the future

so in reality i could tell them that their lack of complete job on the last change of synchros could of caused this one too

who knows man its worth a shot obviously but if they dont do it than what can i say.

They will end up pulling your ECU and checking it and saying you shifted to fast or condition Good luck man, Take an AK-47 with you, they might do it then
