Anyone know of a good local shop to have some welding done for my intercooler and charge pipes? I also need to get my oil return fitting welded in my aluminum oil pan.

I had Amazon Hose do my oil pan. To tap/weld in the -AN fitting and make me a return line cost $50 and change. The oil pan looks as if it came with the AN fitting from the factory. Fast turn around too!

aluminum welding requires tig weld..... but charge pipes are just a mig wel like 10 min. i can do the mig but i dont have access to a tig

 

Hey ryan this is my SN on HT. I didnt know you were on here. anyways I was curious if you used uberdata?

 

you can mig weld with aluminum you just need the right sheilding gas. you can get aluminum spools for a mig from sears and homedepot for like $10 a pound. I only found out cause I got a gasless mig and just found out I can't do aluminum but I can do stainless steel.

 

well mig on aluminum is not recommended.... i am a auto tech and have icar certification and i wouldnt advise mig welding aluminum
