Doesn't TIG welding look cleaner too?

it depends on how good you are. yes tig is the best way to go for strength and cosmetics as long as your not worried about it being slower. but since they make airplane fuselages using mig welding, I think it should be good enough for a charge pipe and a few brackets on an intercooler. If I had a choice I would go tig but since I have no money mig is just as good, as long as you prep the weld area right and have some half way descent welding skills then most anything we may do to a street car can be handled by a mig.
