HEY IM SWAPPING MY Y7 HEAD WITH A Y8 HEAD JUST WANTED TOKNOW WHAT KIND OF MODS AM I GOING TO HAVE TO DO TO MAKE THIS WORK PLS POST IM PICKING THE HEAD UP FROM THEMACHNE SHOP ON MONDAY AND WONDERING CANI USE THE Y7 TIMING BELT OR WILL I HAVE TO PURCHASE ON FOR A Y8

use the y8 timing belt, y8 headgasket, and something rather then the y7 i/m.....what ecu are you gonna be running?

FOR NOW MY Y7 ECU AND SOME ONE TOLD ME I CAN WUREE THE VTEC SOLENID TOI A SWITCH AND TURN IT ON WHEN I NEED IT BUT NOT TO LEAVE IT ON ALL THE TI,E I CAN BURN THE4 SOLENOID OUT A NEW Y7 HEAD GASKET WOULD NOT FIT I FIGURED IT WOULD BEING THAT THE HEAD IS A DIRECT BOLTON NOW IF I REBUILD THE HEAD WITHOUT PORT AND POLISH WOULD THE HEAD BE STRONGER OR NOT THNKS

you can wire a switch to run the vtec seliond but thats ghetto just get a 96+ ex ecu they are cheap around 20-50 and plug it in. if you want to know how to wire the switch i can post up how to.
