bearings have a very deep sound when they go bad. the best way to hear it is to be under your car, under the block's crank case. have someone rev the engine for you while you are under there.

DO NOT DO THIS!!! THIS IS WRONG!!! AND YOU COULD GET HURT VERY BADLY DOING THIS!!!

I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.

It could be the valves ticking, as you don't hear it at lower RPMs. Try a valve adjustment.

A rod bearing doesn't always knock from the moment you turn your car on it could knock wright when you turn it on at a high rpm or even like 3500 rpms not all bearings go out the exact same way and vito a valve is gonna make a knock noise crazy If your hearing a knock noise stop driving your car because your gonna cause a problem that cant be fixed like through a rod out your block my friend just did the other night it wasn't nothing nice but his happened within 15 min the motor started knocking 15 min later he was covering up a big ass oil spill in the middle of the road

First of all, i know that different bearings will do different things. Second, no one said "knock" but you, he said "tick" which leads me to believe it's his valves, or a bearing that has JUST spun. And you TYPICALLY hear a rod knocking at a pretty low RPM/MPH, though with valves tapping you hear it a little higher up.

No, I'm saying that none of us heard it and HE described it as a TICK, which a spun bearing DOES sound like in the beginning, i've had two.
