i would recomend getting a d16z6 motor, the head flows better and it is obd1....obd1 is a lot easier to tune....next thing....if you are serious about turbo charging it...i would recommend throwing a dx head on the z6 block. you will then have a low compression motor...and also, you then wont have to worry about wiring VTEC in the harness and changing the ECU. when you thin about it....losing vtec is only losing 19hp which could be made up for in leaps and bounds with boost....

I just thought sence you wanted to get a b16 Vtec but couldnt afford it so thats why I suggested SOHC Vtec. low compression is the way to go. all very good points. didnt some one do that on here with a ef? also you could always get hondata or uberdata along with the turbo set up.

the d16y8 will work fine.
you will need to use your trans/axles/motormounts,enginewire harness,distributor,obd1 injecters, the intakmani/cylinderhead has biggerports better flow & a B16 throttle body bolts up to intake mani..which increases hp..been there done that...
