kind of a weird problem
ok...this is kind of a weird problem and kind of hard to explain but here it goes......
a few weeks ago i had an accident where i ended up hopping a 6 in. elevated curb and ended up in a drainage ditch....i hit the curb head on b/c i was forced off the road by a damn f150.....but that beyond the point...after i got home, i noticed the wheels were set back in the wheel well, i didint think much of it until later on....i needed new wheels so i bought them and got a wheel alignment...after i got the alignment, the wheels were still set back in the well...i asked the guy who serviced my car and he said that nothing was bent...and this is where my question is...why are my wheels set back and how can i fix it?
John
PS its a 96 civic...the one in the pics(those are the old rimz by the way....)

I want a side bet.... (Sorry Kris)
I have a feeling its lower control arms... It would take alot less to bend those than the frame, and when you bend a lower control arm from an impact thats exactly what happens, it pushes the wheel back in the well.... Its hard to bend a frame and if you did that, alot more would be misaligned (hood, fenders, doors, bumper, headlights, etc...) .... Its also very hard to notice a bent lower control arm by just looking at it because it could be bent one millimeter, which would cause the wheel to be pushed back about 3mm , so even a little damage that can barely be noticeable makes a big difference....
You may say, "Chris, how are you so smart??? You are such a f*cking genious..." And my reply would be..."I'm actually not that smart at all, I just learn from experiences..." (Second hand in this case....)
Anyone wanna put $1 on it????
