Thats why i'm reluctant to spend more money on golden eagle sleeves. I found some stuff that moroso sells called ceramic engine seal. It is supposed to fix small cracks in heads and blocks. I have had several knolegable people tell me that this has worked before. I'm deciding if i should try it. i figure i dont have much to lose considering i have to take it out and disassemble it anyways. I might try it. I'm taking the head to be checked also for leaks. The seller i bought the head from had it checked before selling it but i dont need anymore problems. This is frustrating for me because i dont cut corners. I guess its a freak thing and a part of the game of trying to go fast.

My .02....

You might want to call GE and inform them of your situation, after you acquire the reciept from purchase and labor from Tony or Kris whoever has it, and ask them if there is a local or semi local shop you can take it too instead of shipping it back to them also who covers shipping. I would tell them that this car is your daily driver and would put back financially by paying a shop to pull the motor again and replace your swap with your spare motor and then pay to have the spare replaced with the new one. Not to mention misc. parts you will need to have replaced with the removal of your head. Also who installed your swap for you? If you had a shop do it send that reciept also and if you did it find a shop that will quote you removal and replacement costs. Use key words like unsatisfied, disappointed, civil lawsuit for unneeded exspenses, where is legato, and use us members of TR who you will tell there product sucks to all 11,276 of us.

good advice but i hate to break it to you but thats not gonna work and theyre NOT gonna refund any money it costed u in parts or labor to originally assemble it and then dissassemble it. ive had this happen to a motor i was rebuilding a few months back. same exact sleeves and everything. it had been running for months also with no problems then out of no where... oil in coolant. i had to send it back to GE and they fixed the problem but created another in the meantime. when i got it back the mains were way out of line and the motor then had to be line bored by a local machine shop and at the owners cost, which was 250 dollars more. its was more of a headache than it was worth. theyll pay for the shipping back but i highly doubt youll convince them to pay for it there.

if youre gonna try that block sealant stuff make sure you call GE first and make sure it does not void the warranty becuase my guess is that it will.

theyre gonna have to remove all the sleeves to complete the job so they can use their new and improved sealant that is/was used on all their recently sleeved blocks but like i said earlier it relieves all the stress on the mains and can allow the to settle different from their original position, thus throwing the main alignment out of wack.

also ron, did u check the deck for warpage or slanted deck?? ive seen this before a few times also.

hey man, ill sell u my block which has their new sleeves in it

Damn... I thought that Golden Eagle was the best around. I was going to get my new... "heart"... for my EK sleeved by them. Maybe I should reconsider them. Does Engine Lab do sleeving?

Sorry to hear about your situation and I hope for a "Speedy" recovery .

i would not go with any local machine shop to do your sleeving. there are only a handful of major companies that do sleeving for hondas that i would semi trust:

Golden Eagle, Benson, Darton, RS Machining, and AEBS

i have no problems or regrets of my GE block but if i had to do it again id go with either benson or AEBS
