Default dyno question

I recently had my car tuned (with a s100 hondata), and the car was dynoed tuned in 3rd gear.(to speed up the tuning)

My question is i though that to get proper hp/tq readings it needed to be dynoed in 4th gear instead of 3rd. The guy told me their is no difference. Is he right or is he just bullshitting me.

You need to dyno in Reverse. Its the most effective gear to dyno your vehicle in..

it doesnt make a difference usually. the best way to dyno a car is to pick a gear that is closest to a 1:1 ratio. but unless your having traction problems is 3rd gear 4th gear is not usually necessary and wont see any extra gains
