Ok everyone, I've already gotten PM's about the next meet and I've read some ideas here in other threads.

**Date & Time**
Nothing is set yet, I wanted to wait so that we can decide on a date that will work for everyone... or at least a majority. If you know about any big events/shows, etc, going on, on a Sunday, next month (June), please post it up so we don't clash dates. Mods, please PM me if there is an upcoming TR meet on a Sunday in June that hasn't been advertised yet. Again, it will be next month in JUNE.

**Pre-Meet Spots**
Since there seems to be interest from people outside of the bay area (ie Lakeland, Sarasota, etc), I was thinking of having seperate meet locations at different times to accomodate the people traveling long distance. I will need help with this.
Let me put this into perspective: Let's say a group of people from the Lakeland/Plant City/Winter Haven area want to meet up and cruise together to wherever we're having the meet at. I will need someone to come up with a good meeting location in that area and lead the group to the location of the main meet. I will stay in contact with this person by phone during the morning to make sure everything is on schedule and to keep eachother updated on any changes. I think this would work, and can be done for other locations. The places I think this might be neccessary for, given we have enough people interested in attending, would be: Sarasota/Bradenton, Brandon/Valrico (also for people in Riverview, Seffner, etc.), Lakeland/Winter Haven/Plant City, and possibly other areas. It'll depend on how many people, and how far you are. If this idea sounds good and there is enough people coming from a certain area, I'll need someone to volunteer from those locations (must have a cell phone!) to lead their group.

Now, for everyone in Tampa, St. Pete/Clearwater.... instead of meeting at Westshore in the morning, I'm thinking about meeting on either the Courtney Cambell bridge or the Gandy Bridge (on the side in the park area). I don't know if this would save time for the people coming from Pinellas or not, but I figure it would be easier for everyone to find (and be good for photos).

**Main Meet Location**

Ok, now here's is where I need your opinions the most. I really like the beach idea. The thing is, parking might be an issue. If everyone wants to hit the beach, then I'll be more than happy to take some time and try and get some reserve spots somewhere (maybe a parking garage or reserve lot somewhere near the beach). Now, if we go to the beach, obviously we can't grill there but, if there is a park near the beach that would definetly work out. I've heard things about some places with bad water (redtide), or beaches that get seriously crowded really quick. If you guys would rather not grill and just bring your own stuff or buy food at the beach, thats perfectly fine but you might end up spending more than the $5 donation I would ask for if we had another cookout.

Its back to hot season again obviously so space is going to be limited on the street and I'm sure you guys don't want to be stuck in traffic on our way out there. So, the other idea going around is a pool party. I know some apt. complex & neighborhood places around Tampa where we could rent out the pool & clubhouse area. I think this idea would be good for a few reasons. One, if I could find a place (which I'm sure I could) that would rent out their clubhouse & pool area, then we would have a place to keep food & drinks out of the sun and indoors, as well as have a place for people to stay in some a/c and not burn up outside. Also, most places like this have a grill so we can do the cookout and order food if we have a big enough crowd. Also, electric outlets in the clubhouse incase anyone has a nice stereo they would want to bring.

Either way, I would say end the meet at around 4pm so everyone can get home and get cleaned up, then, If anyone in or near Tampa is interested, have a 2nd mini-meet @ westshore at about 7:30pm for a cruise to the stadium bennigans on DM.

I'll leave it to all of you to decide. The beach meet is possible, it would just take a little more time to get everything planned and set. Whichever we decide on now, we could always do the other later.

Mods: No need to make this a sticky. This is only a discussion thread to see what works for everyone.

I'm still open to other ideas, I just thought the 2 places above would work out best with the hot weather. Post up your thoughts!

ahh when I first read this I took "pool" to mean like a pool hall, stupid me....but if those are the two choices then beach>pool....let's go to the east coast and go surf woo!

Ill throw in a idea how about a H/A Strip club meet? 2001? or wash and wax my car meet? or maybe Adventure Island? Malibu?

 

I actually like the Adventure Island idea. Also...I live in Zephyrhills (which is kinda close to Lakeland) I could head up that group if you want?

 

the clubhouse/pool idea sounds like a good plan

 

I like the Adventure Island idea except I think everyone would disperse pretty fast when we all got there, being that people would want to ride their own rides, have their own cliques etc...
