Default Valve Adjustments

How can you tell the tech has really adjusted the valves during a tune up

if the noise goes away. or u can go ahead and measure them yourself but if u know how to do that you should have just adjusted them yourself anyway

yeah its kinda hit and miss if there wasnt a noise to begin with, you could very well be swindled bro

Alot of people mistake a bad valve adjustment for bad lost motion assemblies. This is a very common problem on old first gen b16a's or any other older higher mileage vtec motor. If the valves tick at low rpms and suddenly go away when vtec is engaged slowly is a good way to tell if the lma's are bad. this is just a FYI kinda thing. The only real way to tell for you would be have someone measure the clearances.
