if your tach isnt accurate and is fluxating and shiz, its something ignition related, probably ignitor.

Hopefully that's all it is....

not sure if this has anything to do with it but my friend down shifted his gsr from like 5th to 2nd ..."says he was trying to go in to 4th" anyway it over reved ... right after that his car drove funny adn the tach bounced up and down from idle to abour 3500 ... turns out he bent a few valves

yah if the tach is accurate and your rpm's ARE going up and down, you fucked something expensive up

 

Thats what I was afraid of at first, But the car still Idles normal. It even drives normal until around 3300 rpm, Then it starts to sputter and the tachs bounce from in the 3K's to 8K... sometimes further and my shiftlight stays on.

The car is still boosting normal, Before the 3k and there doesn't seem to be a loss in power, Just sputters like when you have a bad spark plug wire or if you have water in your plug wire chamber...

I'll dig into the problem this weekend, Hopefully it doesn't cost me an arm and leg.

I'll post the solution when fixed

yo man my tach has been doin that along with my car sputtering until it warms up all the way. does it feel like u got no power jus boggin down goin lie 30mph, to the floor, and the tach is at lik 10k with a light on the whole time lol.. my problem goes away when my car gets right in the middle of H and C,so i have NO clue what it could be (using msd ignition) < something could be wrong with that though..

PM crix he would know though!!!
