Default Should I be worried..................

These evening I went to take off the Falken Azenis that I used at the track event. Well as I was taking them off I noticed how hard it was getting to get the lug nuts removed from the studs....So muscled it a lil bit and I tried to put more power on the lug and the damn thing stripped like no tomorrow.......all four of them on the driver side are basically fucked....should I just take it to some tire place and have them replaced or should I try and scoop up new studs myself and take it somewhere and have them installed???? Or if you guys have anyonther suggestions pls let me know.....I only have one car instead of 2 now so I need to get this thing back on the road ASAP!!!!

(cliff notes)
Stripped stud..............whut would be a good solution to this problem????

Bleh, if you managed to strip FOUR studs yourself I'd think twice about doing the work required to replace them. Not trying to be a dick just being realistic. Chances are you'll rip a boot or worse. On a side note, when taking off lug nuts you'll find it a better idea to simply loosen them slightly then jack up the car, relieving pressure on the studs, and take them off with the wheel in the air.

All of that was done.............I honestly think that they were just worn down. ANd I also mistyed something...only 2 of the studs had been stripped but at the tips where too much pressure could have been applied like you said........

Damn ll 4 four at one time? would think you would have chilled after fking up the first one.

You could go to any tire shop to get it fixed..... your pick

I broke 1 stud one time and when it did it stripped out the back side of the hub too....... Had to replace the whole fking hub. Lucking my friend had 2 Gsr front knuckles that he sold me for 100$ and i just bolted up.

Not that simple. You've got to remove the knuckle and have a new wheel bearing pressed in. It's about $70 for a new bearing, about $5 for a new stud. For four studs, a new bearing, and then around $20-50 for labor (shop that'll press in the bearing/hub). Now I'm assuming that this is the front. If it's the rear it's quite a bit simpler.
