car is running really rich.why!!

Default car is running really rich.why!!

ok i bought a white si civic in mint condition but it has a d15 motor.the guy i bought it from said he change the block cause of problems unno but its has a1.5 head on it and si every thing else.the guy put a fuel pressure reg. on there and i dont thihnk it should be there but wat im trying to get here is the car is running REALLY rich!! u rev it up to about 4500 6000 it will smoke and its fuel cause it smells like fuel big time if any one would have a clue why this 1.5 motor is running rich with 4 point injection plz let me know

could it be that u have the wrong dizzy with the multi point? cuz u cant use a dizzy from a dual point on a multipoint...maybe this helps explain what im trying to say better... https://www.tamparacing.com/forums/s...hreadid=145844

i have the si wiring harness going to it the only thing he changed ont he motor was the block and head in asumming . is it that the 1.5 cant handle that much fuel

if i put dual point on u think it will stop giving so much fuel

Its not running rich cause its a 1.5.It could be the map sensor or u might try turning the fuel pressure down if its adjustable it should be at like 38psi but its not getting to much fuel cause its a 1.5 with a si injection.

its turned all the way down an nuthin. i burn a half a tank of gas in 80 miles so i dont think that is good

wat is a dizzy ??

Hey man if u read this whole thread it sounds alot like your problem...maybe this is what is wrong with the hatch...towards the end at the second page they found what the problem was.
