mtber i dont mean to build it myself. bottom ends are way to easy to mess up. i'm saying build one with aftermarket parts like forged pistons and rods ect.

Forged pistons = $400-500
Forged rods = $300

Oem assemblies are very reasonable for some one who doesnt know how to build a block.

Honestly building a motor is not hard at all. All it takes is common sence & a helms manual.

Off topic: People say it's not all that difficult, but i've heard sooo many horror stories from "experienced builders" blowing shit up. . .

I mean i've never built one, i'm not saying one way or another, but it just seems EXTREMELY meticulous.

I have heard horror stories also.

They have primarely been from defective parts.
I.E. Mixing no name valves with a jun III setup resulting in a valve dropping & destroying everything.

The best way to build a motor in my opinion is using factory parts & specs. When you start using aftermarket products in a build the chances of problems rises.

Yea, what you're saying makes PERFECT sense. OEM is good shit. . .
