Please spare us your moronic comments spoonfed.

The results you guys are looking at are from 2001, and even then he ran a 10.88 at Englishtown. Now the car runs consitant 10's with a slipping clutch.

how much he spent on the SOHC vs the power he could have gotten out of the B series with the same money, thats spoon's argument that i support

most anyone with any knowledge of honda engines would support that given the same budget to build a b-series or a soch the b-series will destroy the soch...simple as that

Go ahead and try and argue it, but the SOHC will always be cheaper. Less parts, cheaper parts, and a cheaper base to start with.

Not simple as that. Try this for example.

Car already has D16Y8 engine in it.

B16 Swap= Avg price of $2500

Alternate route:
Used Zex nitrous kit $300
Walbro 255lph $80
Run a 75 shot and I guarantee it will make 75wtq and 30whp more than the B16 you would've paid $2500 for. You can keep going round and round with this argument, but since you are already out the money for the swap it will be more expensive than modding your SOHC.

You don't always need the most expensive things. Matt Patrick's Zex Crx would cost half of what most the B series running the same 10 second passes cost.
