well my civic is stuck in 2nd gear and was wondering why or how it would do this. and what i have to do to fix it. if i need a new tranny or not or is it the clutch. i am new to fixing things cuz this is my first civic and very stupid when it comes to stuff breaking. if someone could help me i would like that very much...

yeah it wont come out of second at all. i tryed both ways. and the sucky part of all this i moved from Tampa to La and now i have tryed to get a tranny here and ha they dont have my hatch here go figure. so now i have to find someone that i know there that can send me one C.O.D. so i can fix this damn thing. ty Keith

i have a d series tranny anyhow. and like i said before where i am there isnt a car like mine and i have to put a 88-91 tranny in my car. i dont think any other kind will fit. cuz i have a 91 hatch.

look there are lot of place to find a d series tranny. junkyards, online, mechanic shops, friends. i will ask around but don't coun't on it. if you get a shit tranny then have it rebuilt - i have a friend who probably could do that. i'm in tampa area though - i don't shit about La. los angles or louisiana? los has to have something for you but if you r in the state of LA then u might be screwed. all i ever found there were gators, swamps and titties!!
