Anyhow, Christina. Best bet would be to replace the tranny. It's not too difficult. There should be some D series trannys in a junkyard near you.
You can use any Civic/CRX tranny from 87-91. If you can, find a CRX Si tranny and swap it on there. Shorter gears

thank you Jeff and thanks to everyone else that tryed to help.i found a tranny and it was a 91 crx tranny that i found but i paid an arm and a leg for it. it was damn near $400 for it. had to have it shipped from Cally. wtf Tampa couldnt send it COD so oh well. but the tranny was bad and i also had to replace the clutch. and that thing ws f*cked up. DONT EVER LET SOMEONE ELSE DRIVE YOUR CAR. but anyhow i fixed it and it was my first time fixing any car and it runs a hell alot better now. ty everyone.
