resavoir is for overflow. check the water pump and the gaskets in the tunnel on the backof the block. change your oil see if its got water in it. check some of the hoses in the back of the engine and under the intae mannifold.

Fans, also check your Air Dam's under the car are the first thing to go when you park over a parking block. If they break no air gets pushed up from the bottom to the top of the motor and it overheats. I had the same prob but with my 91 camaro v8.

either you have a leak you cant see, which it would be pretty big if you lose all the water in the radiator 3 miles away. or fans arent kicking on but i dont think you would lose all your water in 3 miles just by the fans not kicking on so i think you have a leak and or your water pump is fucked.

yea if the car is moving it really doesn't need the fan to stay cool. i drove from tampa to cocoa and the only time the car went into hotness was when i was stopped for a toll.

so i'd go with the water pump or a big hole in the block.

don't drive to much longer if it is the water pump.

also have you looked on the bottom of your oil pan, when the water pump leaks out the seap hole it collects at the bottom on your oil pan and leaves a nice pink type stain.

I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.
